NEW DELHI: Kerala pacer S Sreesanth and Utar Pradesh southpaw Suresh Raina were awarded BCCI's Group C contract on Thursday.
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Niranjan Shah said in a statement that both the cricketers have been offered players contracts in the Group 'C' with a retainership of Rs. 20 lakhs each.
BCCI has eight players, including axed Sourav Ganguly, in Group A who are entitled to a retainership of Rs 50 lakh, four in Group B getting Rs 35 lakh and five in Group C with Sreesanth and Raina's inclusion.
Group A: Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Anil Kumble, VVS Laxman, Sourav Ganguly, Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan.
Group B: Yuvraj Singh, Mohd Kaif, Ajit Agarkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
Group C: Murali Karthik, Gautam Gambhir, Zaheer Khan, S Sreesanth and Suresh Raina.
