Since the Aadhaar card is one of the most important documents, one must keep it updated at all times. However, carrying the Aadhaar card at all times physically can be risky since there might be a chance to lose it so it's better to have it on your phone.

It is always better to have a soft copy and one can easily get it done with their registered mobile number. An individual can easily make changes to their information while sitting at their homes using UID and registered mobile number but what should a person do if they lost their registered mobile number or needed their number to update? 

Well, all you need to do is visit your nearest Aadhaar centre and fill a form to submit the request.

Here's how you can locate the nearest Aadhaar Center?

- The nearest Aadhaar centre can be located by visiting UIDAI's official website or going on the mAadhaar app. You can also call on the 1947 helpline number to know details about the nearest Aadhaar Centre or Aadhaar Kendra.

- At the centre you eill have to fill up all the important information in a form requesting the update of your Aadhaar database with the new mobile number. The application fee is Rs 50 and you will required to verify your identity through biometric verification.

- Once you are done with all the formalities, you will be provided with a Unique Reference number that can be used to check the status of your request.

Once your request is processed, you can then use. new registered number to access your Aadhaar card number on your phone or on the mAadhaar app.
