Housewife raped in Khar

A 20-year-old pregnant woman was gang-raped on Saturday night when she was washing utensils at her Khar residence, while her husband was watching TV at mezzanine floor. Khar police have arrested the accused Prashant Kanekar, 22, and Amit Sansare, 32. Both reside in the same area.

According to police, the victim stays with her husband at ground plus room in the Khar Danda area at Khar (West). Around 12.30am on Saturday after having dinner, the victim was washing utensils and her husband was watching TV, the duo entered the kitchen and locked the door. Then, they raped her.

The victim was admitted to Bhabha Hospital. The police said they were awaiting her medical reports.
