Jaipur airport ‘lands’ in 11th spot

Recently released figures from Airport Authority of India have revealed that Jaipur is now on 11 the place in the list in which Delhi and Mumabi are top two airports in that order

Jaipur Airport has reached 11th position in the country in daily scheduled flight operations. Everyday 69 flights operate from here leaving many peer cities behind. Of these, 60 flights are domestic while nine are international.

Recently released figures from Airport Authority of India have revealed that Jaipur is now on 11 the place in the list in which Delhi and Mumabi are top two airports in that order. Goa is ahead of Jaipur due to international connectivity but Jaipur is ahead of the coastal city in terms of growth rate.

Till March 2017, there were 46 daily flights. At that time, Guwahati and Lucknow were ahead of the Pink City, however, now they are lagging behind Jaipur. Thiruvananthapuram also known as Trivandrum was left behind the race in 2015. In last three years, number of flights from Jaipur have increased the most.

The way flights operation is increasing in Jaipur is likely to leave Goa behind soon and the connectivity from Jaipur to Europe and Australia will also increase.

  • Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Chandigarh, Indore, Lucknow Agra, Varanasi
  • All Pakistan cities are behind Jaipur
  • 63 flights from Karachi airport
  • Islamabad and Lahore nowhere near
