Constituency Profile
It consists of six segments – Washim, Karanja, Ralegaon, Yavatmal, Digras and Pusad.
The main showdown is between Shiv Sena’s Bhawana Gawli and Indian National Congress’ Manikrao G Thakare.
In 2014, Bhavana Gawali beat INC’s Shivajirao Moghe by 93,000 votes. Gawal won the seat in 2009 as well, beating INC’s Harising Rathod by 56,000 votes.

In 2014, BJP and Shiv Sena won 23 and 18 seats respectively. The Congress just got two while the NCP won 4 and Swabhimani Paksha got 1. In 2019, the BJP and Sena alliance is set to take on the Congress-NCP alliance.
