Sikkim: So far, 22 tourists have been rescued after a massive avalanche hits Nathu La.

A massive avalanche has hit Sikkim's Nathu La border area. In the incident, six people have been killed and 11 people have injured, PTI reported. The avalanche struck at 14th mile on Jawaharlal Nehru road connecting Gangtok with Nathula.
A rescue operation is being carried out by the Sikkim Police. So far, 22 tourists have been rescued. Moreover, 350 stranded tourists and 80 vehicles were rescued after snow clearance from the road. More details are awaited.
