Kiranmoy Nanda new Samajwadi Party general secretary

Former West Bengal minister Kiranmoy Nanda has been appointed general secretary of the Samajwadi Party, a party spokesperson in Lucknow said today.

SP president Mulayam Singh Yadav has described Nanda as a dedicated and a hardworking leader and has appointed him the party general secretary, he said.

Yadav hoped Nanda's appointment would help strengthen the party, the spokesperson said.
