Speaking on the occasion, the Tribal Affairs Minister said the Centre would extend all possible help to protect the aspirations of Ladakh people.

Leh (Ladakh): Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda, on Saturday, inaugurated a nine-day National Tribal Festival, Aadi Mahotsav in Polo Grounds of Leh. This is the first mega event arranged by the Centre after the announcement of Union Territory status for Ladakh region which has 97 per cent tribal population.
Speaking on the occasion, the Tribal Affairs Minister said the Centre would extend all possible help to protect the aspirations of Ladakh people.
Tribal Affairs MOS Renuka Singh said the Aadi Mahotsav would provide an opportunity to Ladakhi tribal artisans to come and get themselves empanelled with Tribal Co-op Marketing Development Federation to expand their market base.
Home Minister Amit Shah, in a message, extended his greetings and said the Aadi Mahotsav will open opportunities to the tribals and help them prosper. Around 160 tribal artists from 20 states are participating in the fest.
