The government, keeping this in mind, has issued several guidelines related to traffic, and commercial activity in New Delhi. The G20 Summit 2023 will take place on September 9-10 at the Bharat Mandapam convention centre.
The New Delhi district will be termed as “Controlled Zone 1” from 5 am on September 8 to 11:59 pm on September 10.

Between this time frame, many parts of North Delhi and Central Delhi, around Rajghat, Bahadurshah Zafar Marg, and Shanti Van Chowk, will be termed “Controlled Zone 2”.
G20 Summit: Here's what's allowed, what's not
- In the New Delhi district, commercial activity will not be permitted. This includes online delivery services among other restrictions. However, the delivery of medicines is exempted from this.
- Essential services such as postal services, and medical services like pathology collections will be allowed to remain open, the Traffic Police said on Monday.

- Taxi cabs with valid identification and ferrying passengers from IGI Airport or with hotel bookings in the New Delhi area will also be permitted.
- For hotel bookings in the New Delhi district, when arriving from the airport or railway station entry will be allowed upon presenting boarding passes or booking documents. There can be possible 10-15 minute delays due to security checking.
- Metro services will run normally except from the Supreme Court station. However, some stations will see temporary closures of 10-15 minutes for VIP movements or security reasons.
