G20 Summit menu: From pani puri to special millet thalis, know what world leaders would be served during the event

According to a PTI report, the world leaders attending the G20 summit in Delhi would get a taste of mouthwatering Indian street food and meals made with millet.

G20 Summit in New Delhi: The final countdown for the G20 Summit has begun, and the country leaders and delegates will be treated to traditional vegetarian fare. The dishes made of millet will be a significant highlight of the menu. 

Delhi will host the G20 Summit from September 8 to 10 in Pragati Maidan. The nation's capital is getting ready to welcome dignitaries and leaders like Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Indonesian President Joko Widodo, and Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Along with security measures and cultural events, the cuisine has also received special attention.

The world leaders attending the G20 conference in Delhi will sample mouthwatering Indian street food, including flavorful treats from Chandni Chowk and creative meals created from millet, according to a report by PTI.

What’s on the menu during the G20 Summit in Delhi?
Official dinner:
'All-vegetarian' food without any meat or eggs would be served at the delegates' official dinner, according to media sources. Throughout the summit, local cuisine and customary foods will be provided to the guests. 

Grand lunch at Jaipur House: The grand lunch planned at Jaipur House will serve spouses of heads of state traditional vegetarian delicacies from India. The attention-grabbing millet will do so again in this situation. 

The VIP event, which will take place outside of the main summit, will give the women a taste of India's distinctive culture and cuisine.

What does Millet Special Thali will include?
According to several media sources, the special millet thalis will include millet pulao, and millet idlis which will be given in honour of India's designation of 2023 as the "Millet of the Year." Delegates will have a wide range of alternatives from appetizers to main courses to satisfy their hunger for millets.

Special foods from several states: There are also rumours that regional specialities such as the Dal Bati Churma from Rajasthan, the Bengali Rasgulla, the Masala Dosa from South India, and the Litti Chokha from Bihar will be served at different events of the summit.

Special street food: Indian street food is unique, and visiting India isn't complete without it. Because of this, delegates' menus will also include Indian street food like pani puri, chatpati chaat, dahi bhalla, samosa, etc.
