Former Andhra MLA found murdered

HYDERABAD: Former TDP legislator Grandhi Madhavi was found murdered at her Banjara Hills residence on Tuesday night, police said.

The police suspect business rivalry behind the murder of Madhavi who was elected to the Andhra Pradesh Assembly from Visakhapatnam constituency in 1983.

The former MLA, who had subsequently joined Congress, has been keeping herself away from active politics for the last few years.

Devaki, the maid servant of Madhavi, also suffered stab injuries and was admitted to a hospital, police said.
