Revanna 'obscene videos' case: Cong attacks PM Modi, Shah, demands answers to '10 questions'

Amid the row over the alleged obscene video case involving NDA candidate and Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna in Karnataka, the Congress party launched a fresh attack on Sunday, demanding answers to "10 questions" from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

During a joint press conference along with Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM DK Shivakumar in Belagavi, Congress general secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala alleged that Prime Minister Modi and leaders of Janata Dal (Secular) were "protecting a mass rapist".Surjewala also claimed that Prime Minister Modi was "aware of the matter" but still allied with the JD(S)."

Our message in this case is clear and simple. Narendra Modi-ji and JD(S) leaders are protecting a mass rapist when the Prime Minister was aware that the candidate of his party and an ally is a serial abuser of thousands of women. A BJP leader in December 2023 approached PM Modi and Amit Shah with all the evidence," Surjewala told reporters in Belagavi on Sunday. (ANI)

"Germany is an example of an economically and socially stronger country than India, where the use of EVMs is considered unconstitutional... We have decided that we will defeat them using EVMs and then we'll remove EVMs," added the SP Chief.

He highlighted that America, Japan, and many European countries don't consider EVM but consider only ballots. Yadav stated, "The people of Manipuri have made up their minds to make us win with the great majority...None of their policies have reached the people. From bypass to rail connectivity, Jyotiraditya invokes track record as he bids for fresh term from bastion Guna

Stressing his track record of fulfilling aspirations and meeting public expectations in his previous terms as a member of the Lok Sabha, Union Minister and the BJP's Guna candidate Jyotiraditya Scindia pointed to the ongoing implementation of public infrastructure projects in his constituency.

Addressing a public event at Guna on Saturday, the Civil Aviation Minister said, "I have always worked to fulfil people's expectations for development and progress. Talking about Guna, there had been a demand for a bypass to enable easier passage of trucks and heavy commercial vehicles. The demand had been pending for 25 years. However, I got it done in 16 months. The new 15 km-long bypass enables trucks to pass Guna without entering the city. The lone highway here used to be in a shambles. However, a 450km long six-lane highway has now been built at Rs 5,000 crore, connecting Gwalior, Shivpuri, Guna and Dewas. Hardly 2 or 3 trains would stop at Guna in the previous years but now, trains from every corner of the country halt here." (ANI)
