The three-day extension means that Battlegrounds Mobile India players will now be able to transfer their data from PUBG Mobile server by July 9.
In a good news for lakhs of Battlegrounds Mobile India players, game developers Krafton on Tuesday (July 6) extended PUBG Mobile India data transfer to Battlegrounds Mobile India by three days. Earlier, it was expected that Krafton would temporarily suspend the service on July 6. The three-day extension means that Battlegrounds Mobile India players will now be able to transfer their data from PUBG Mobile server by July 9.
The announcement regarding this has been made by Krafton as an update to its previous post, ‘Notice on temporary shutdown of data transfer’ on its official website.
The post reads, “Starting date of temporary shutdown of data transfer previously noticed has been changed from July 6th -> 9th,” The post further mentions, “Dear BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA fans, currently Krafton is providing data transfer service in order to safely secure the data of fans from India.”
According to Krafton, this is a temporary suspension of the data transfer service. It may be recalled that earlier it was confirmed by Krafton that the service will be offered till Dec 31, 2021.
The South Korean game developers however did not clarify the reason behind the temporary pause of the service. However, the earlier post of Krafton states that, “A maintenance will be proceeded upon the data transfer service; accordingly, we'd like to inform you that the transfer service will be temporarily shut down during the period.”
The PUBG Mobile India data transfer feature will allow Battlegrounds Mobile India players to transfer achievement rank, game progress, emotes, weapon skins, vehicle skins, tier points and more.
Battlegrounds Mobile India was officially launched on July 2 on Google Play Store and is now available to download for all Android smartphone users. The iOS version of Battlegrounds Mobile India is still not released and Krafton is yet to make any official announcement regarding the launch of the iOS verison of the game.
How to download Battlegrounds Mobile India using APK+ OBB files and Google Play Store
Notably, the size of the APK file is 72 MB, while the size of OBB file is 637 MB. This means that the Battlegrounds Mobile India players need to have sufficient storage on their phones in order to download the desi version of PUBG Mobile India.
Step 1: Download both APK and OBB files of Battlegrounds Mobile India using the links provided above.
Step 2: Next, install the APK file, but do not open it yet. Change the name of the OBB file to “main.15255.com.pubg.imobile”
Step 3: Paste the OBB to Android/OBB/com.pubg.imobile
Step 4: After this, gamers need to open the application of Battlegrounds Mobile India and select between either of the two Resource Packs.
Step 5: Finally, they can log in to enjoy playing Battlegrounds Mobile India
