Starring Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Kushi will stream on Netflix from October 1 in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi languages.
Starring Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the leading roles, Kushi was released in the cinemas on September 1 to mixed reviews from audiences and critics. The romantic comedy had a solid start with Rs 25.85 crore gross opening at worldwide box office but failed to attract audiences to theatres after its first week.
As per the entertainment tracking portal Sacnilk.com, Kushi collected Rs 45.87 crore net and Rs 53.9 crore gross in its theatrical run. With an overseas collection of Rs 18.1 crore, the Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu-starrer had a worldwide collection of Rs 72 crore.
The film will be available for streaming on October 1, exactly a month after its release, on Netflix. The streaming giant made the announcement on its social media handles on Sunday, September 24, as it wrote, "Andhariki kushi icche subhavaartha (Good news for everyone). #Kushi is coming to Netflix in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi on 1st October. #KushiOnNetflix".
Kushi is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and helmed by Shiva Nirvana who has previously directed three films - romantic comedy Ninnu Kori starring Nani, Nivetha Thomas, and Aadhi Pinisetty, romantic sports drama Majili starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu with her ex-husband Naga Chaitanya, and action drama Tuck Jagadish starring Nani and Ritu Verma.
The romantic drama also stars Jayaram, Sachin Khedekar, Murali Sharma, Lakshmi, Ali, Rohini, Vennela Kishore, Rahul Ramakrishna, Srikanth Iyengar, and Saranya in pivotal roles. he two comedians Brahmanandam and Ali were seen in cameos in the film. Hesham Abdul Wahab of Hridayam fame has composed the soundtrack of the film.
