Two Tollywood producers have filed complaints with the police here against online piracy of their films.

Based on the complaints, the police have filed separate cases related to online piracy of the films, one of of them already released and the other upcoming, an official said today.

The complaints were lodged with the Cyber Crime Police Station.

Dil Raju, producer of recently released Telugu movie 'DJ - Duvvada Jagannadham', has alleged someone had uploaded the pirated print of the movie on social networking sites.

The film stars Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde.

In the second complaint, Kalyan Ram, who is producing Telugu actor Junior NTR's upcoming movie 'Jai Lava Kusa', said the teaser footage and a few scenes of their film were leaked on the social media.

Assistant Commissioner of Police K C S Raghuveer said following the complaints they registered two cases under the relevant sections of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Police have written to the organisations running the social networking sites to block the "pirated" content of both the movies, he said.

Further probe is on.
