Geetika Tamta resides in the Uttarakhand town of Nainital. She made a commitment to study hard when celebrating the New Year in Mukteshwar in the year 2021. She had started off studying intently, but she became sidetracked because she was spending more time on the social networking platform Instagram. After that, she deleted all of her social media accounts on January 15, 2021.

Even though Geetika had increased her study time, she still had difficulty. Festivals and social events with her family and friends were hindering her studies. The last time she attended a family event was on February 18, 2021. She bought a whiteboard in April 2021 to establish a study program.

Delhi served as Geetika's exam venue. In 2021, she moved to Delhi in order to study in a more suitable atmosphere. She was under a great deal of mental strain as a result of her family issues. She began working out to maintain her body and mind healthy after moving to Delhi. Since the UPSC Prelims exam was delayed, she came back to Nainital in the second wave of Covid, or in May 2021.

Her preparation for the UPSC Mains Exam began on October 13 after she completed the Prelims exam on October 10, 2021. Geetika intensified her concentration on response writing and organizing her time after she passed the UPSC Prelims exam. Her family relocated to Dehradun in January 2022, and she arrived in Delhi.

She experienced health problems as well during Delhi's winter. She traveled to Dehradun after the main exam. She conducted a number of practice interviews in Delhi to help her prepare for his UPSC interview. On May 30, 2022, the UPSC results were announced, and she received the 239th rank, making her an IFS officer. Additionally, she participated in the just concluded G20 Summit 2023 in New Delhi.
