Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal has termed the alleged attack unfortunate and said that there was no place for violence in a democracy
Two AAP MLAs Nitin Tyagi and Rajesh Rishi, who were summoned by the police for questioning in connection with the alleged February 19 assault on Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash, did not turn up.
They did not reach the Civil Lines police station to join investigations into the assault by AAP MLAs that allegedly took place at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence in his presence. Senior police officers said that they were told the two MLAs were not in Delhi on Thursday.
The police have already arrested two other AAP MLAs — Prakash Jarwal and Amantullah Khan — in the case that has prompted the entire bureaucracy to revolt against the government, creating an unprecedented governance crisis in the national capital.
"We will summon them again. And if they again do not turn up, we will seek help from the court," said a senior police officer.
Delhi Lieutenant Governor (L-G) Anil Baijal has termed the alleged attack unfortunate and said that there was no place for violence in a democracy. He has asked the AAP government to remove mistrust between officials and Ministers.
