With the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) CEO Rahul Johri asked to take it easy and rather concentrate on his reply in the alleged sexual assault, the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (COA) has been running the day-to-day show till a decision is reached in this matter.

This has come after ICC asked the BCCI to keep Johri away from the world cricket body's CEO meetings in Singapore currently under way. This led COA chief Vinod Rai to depute the acting secretary Amitabh Choudhary instead for the job.

Choudhary, who was originally to take part in the ICC meeting in his usual capacity as the Director of the ICC Board of Directors, has been doubling up in his duty as Johri's replacement. Rai gave Johri seven days to respond to the allegations.

DNA has reliably learnt that Johri has also not attended his office at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai ever since the allegations have surfaced in the social media.

Till now, COA has been performing the role of supervisory authority and passing instructions to Johri on various issues. The BCCI work is not going to suffer even now as there is enough work force to help COA in his day-to-day work.

DNA has reported earlier about the alleged sexual assault. The matter against Johri got highlighted once again when he was named in a Twitter post by author Harnidh Kaur, who shared screen-shots of a detailed account of his former colleague in a TV channel on her handle.
