India pacer Mohammed Siraj was ecstatic about his outstanding performance in the Asia Cup 2023 final against Sri Lanka on Sunday.
Siraj shattered numerous records by taking 6 wickets for just 21 runs in his 7-over spell at the R Premadasa Stadium. Sri Lanka's batting lineup crumbled, and they were all out for a mere 50 runs, marking their lowest score against India in ODI history.
After his remarkable display with the new white ball, Siraj was at a loss for words. His exceptional performance almost single-handedly secured the Asia Cup victory for his captain, Rohit Sharma.

"Feels like a dream. Last time I did the same against Sri Lanka at Trivandrum. Got four wickets early, couldn't get the five-for. Realised you get what's in your destiny.
"I did not try too much today. I have always looked for swing in white-ball cricket. Did not find much in the previous games.
"But today it was swinging, and I got more wickets with the outswinger. Wanted to make the batters drive," Siraj said at the mid-innings break in Colombo.
Jasprit Bumrah made an impressive start by taking the first Sri Lankan wicket in the opening over of the match. Hardik Pandya also contributed to India's success by taking additional wickets, resulting in a quick victory for India in just 15.2 overs.
In the modest chase, Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan comfortably led India to victory in just 7.1 overs, showcasing their skill and efficiency.
