Infosys promoters' shareholding falls below 15%

The collective shareholding of the promoters of Infosys Ltd has come down to 13.08% in the December quarter as against 15.92% in the September quarter, a regulatory filing revealed. 

The public shareholding in the company went up to 71.18% from 69.08%. 

In total, the 19 promoters now hold 15,02,15,636 shares in the company. 

On December 7, 2014, 10 promoters including NR Murthy, Sudha Murty, Nandan Nilekani, K Dinesh, sold 32.6 million shares. The total value of the shares sold was Rs 6483.79 crore. 

The promoters had said that the proceeds of the share-sale will go towards their philanthropic activities. 

Infosys is set to announce its results for the third quarter of the current fiscal on January 9, 2015.
