Director Mahesh Bhatt has reacted to the success of Shah Rukh Khan's latest actioner Jawan.
As moviegoers and Shah Rukh Khan's fans are praising the actor's recent actioner Jawan, director-producer Mahesh Bhatt has reacted to the success of the latest SRK blockbuster. For the unversed, in Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan mentioned Mahesh Bhatt's daughter Alia Bhatt in a tense moment. Shah Rukh has even headlined Mahesh Bhatt's directorials Duplicate (1998) and Chaahat (1996).
Mahesh Bhatt and SRK have mutual respect for each other, and the former has reacted to the latest box office phenomenon. After watching Jawan, Mahesh Bhatt shared his views to ETimes and said, "Stars don’t shine because they want to be seen; they shine because they are stars. A superstar is someone who uses their light to illuminate the world, leaving a trail of inspiration for others to follow. Shah Rukh is a living embodiment of that." What Mahesh meant was a superstars like Shah Rukh Khan put their stardom and euphoria to good use, and inspire their followers.

Released on September 7, Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan has minted Rs 128 crores in two days. As per Sacnilk, the movie earned Rs 75 crores on day 1, and Rs 53.23 crores on day 2. Jawan also stars Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi with Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Lehar Khan, Sunil Grover, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Ridhi Dogra, and a cameo appearance of Deepika Padukone.
