At the 69th National Film Awards, Kangana Ranaut's Thalaivii didn't manage to win any award, and the actress has shared her thoughts about it.

Kangana Ranaut has shared her thoughts about the 69th National Awards winners and even opened up about her movie Thalaivii not bagging any accolade. On Instagram, Kangana wrote a long note and shared it as a story. The actress wrote, "Congratulations to all the winners of #nationalawards2023. It is such an art carnival that brings all the artists across the country together... It's truly magical to know, and to get introduced to so much important work that is happening across all languages."
Sharing her thoughts on Thalavii not winning any National Award, Kangana wrote, "All of you are disappointed that my film Thalaivii didn't win any... please know I'm eternally grateful Krishna give and didn't give me and all of you who really love and appreciate me, must appreciate my perspective as well. Art is subjective and I truly believe that the jury did their best. I wish everyone the best. Hare Krishna."

For the unversed, Kangana has won the National Awards four times. In 2010, Kangana won the Best Supporting Actress award for Fashion. In 2015, Kangana won the Best Actress National Award for Queen. In 2016, Kangana won her second Best Actress Award for Tanu Weds Manu Returns. In 2021, Kangana won her third Best Actress National Award for Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. On the work front, Kangana will next be seen in her directorial Emergency. The movie is scheduled for November 24, 2023 release. After Emergency, Kangana will also be seen in Tejas.
Speaking about the 69th National Awards, the Hindi film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect won the National Award for Best Feature Film while Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon shared the Best Actress prize for their roles in Gangubai Kathiawadi and Mimi, respectively. South superstar Allu Arjun was judged the best actor for the Telugu film Pushpa: The Rise. The Kashmir Files, directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, also won the Nargis Dutt Award for best film on national integration. The award for best popular film providing wholesome entertainment went to the Telugu version of the multilingual film RRR. The National Awards for 2021 were announced by filmmaker Ketan Mehta who headed the 11-member jury. The awards announcement was streamed live on the PIB YouTube channel.
