‘Padmaavat’ is all set to release on January 25
Despite being embroiled in controversy for the longest time now, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmaavat is all set to release on January 25 after getting a U/A certificate from Central Board of Film Certification. The film features Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmavati, Shahid Kapoor as Maharawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer Singh as Sultan Alauddin Khilji.
As the film is nearing closer to the release, the makers are posting new posters and updates about the film every now and then in order to intrigue the audience. While the audience has loved Deepika and Shahid’s look in the film, it is Ranveer’s barbaric avatar that has caught everyone’s attention.
Adding to the excitement, Ranveer also shared a collage of his stills from the film as he plays the barbarian conquerer Khilji in Padmaavat. Ranveer is definitely loving his new avatar and in the recent post, he has called himself a ‘monster’.

The film, initially titled Padmavati, was slated to release on December 1 last year but was postponed as the makers were yet to get a certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
