The volunteers of Bharath Gyan Vigyan Samiti (BGVS), Karnataka have decided to stage protest in front of Town Hall demanding action against VR Bhat for giving a call to rape N Prabha, general secretary, BGVS, in public.
Speaking with media persons here on Friday, Prabha said the volunteers of the BGVS met chief minister Siddaramaiah on July 31 and submitted a memorandum demanding arrest of VR Bhat for making derogatory remarks against her. "The chief minister has assured us to take a suitable action against Bhat,'' she said.
It may be recalled, Prabha posted her opinion in the Face Book about 'challenges of superstitious practices to scientific attitude'. The BGVS units have been organising protests throughout the state. "We are stating protest in front of Town Hall on Saturday. Our struggle would be continued until the accused is arrested,'' she said.
