    Patel reservation quota stir leader Hardik Patel is on the detox break after his fast programme that he concluded on 19thday after intervention of community leaders. The Patel leader, who is taking multi-therapeutic treatment at Jindal Naturopathy Institute in Bengaluru, will relaunch his agitation from October 2 and, in place of gathering crowd at one place, would go amidst the crowd.

    Hardik Patel will travel across Gujarat and hold his first public rally along with a symbolic fast at Bagathla village in Morbi district on October 2.  His basic demands shall be to release PAAS leader Alpesh Kathiriya from jail, loan waiver for farmers and core issue of his agitation, reservation for Patel community.

    Patel made this public through social media and said, “I am coming back on October 2 on occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. Be ready. My demands will be the reservation, loan waiver and release of Kathiriya.”

    A PAAS convener, on condition of anonymity,  said: “Hardik’s fast programme did not gather the steam because very few people could attend. He wanted to have the top politicians, which also did not happen. Now, he had decided to go among public before he loses popularity.”

    On the other side, Patel reservation outfits such as PAAS and SPG have decided to hold protest programmes against PM Narendra Modi when he is coming to unveil the Statue of Unity of Sardar Patel in Narmada district on October 31. Their demand is the release of Kathiriya and others who are in jail under the charges of sedition.
