Gunmen on Tuesday stormed an Iraqi provincial council building in Baquba city after two bombs exploded outside, security sources said.
At least one person was killed and ten wounded, a police source said. Gunmen were reported to be still inside the building.
The attack took place in Baquba, the capital of Diyala province, northeast of Baghdad, a volatile area where al-Qaeda affiliates and other militia are active.
