A fashion designer has created a dress that contorts and lights up when someone gazes at it.

Ying Gao told Dezeen that she used an eye-tracking system in the dress dubbed (No)Where (Now)Here, which makes the dresses move when someone stares at it, Discovery News reported.

She said that the system can also turn off the lights then the dresses illuminate.

The technology reacts to a person’s stare by activating tiny motors that move parts of the dress in patterns.

Glow-in-the-dark threads have been used to create the dresses, which creates a psychedelic effect when they are under black lights.

One dress has a design with luminescent tendrils, while the other one has a more traditional cut.
