After witnessing some great knocks in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023, Virat Kohli has climbed up in the ICC ODI batting rankings. The star player has also gone past Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma and occupied the sixth spot in the ranking.

Whereas, Shubman Gill holds the second place very tightly and edging very close to Babar Azam's position at no.1. Even though Kohli has gone ahead, Rohit is still under top 10, securing the eighth place in the ranking.

Besides Babar and Gill, players who are preceding Kohli are David Warner (5th), Heinrich Klaasen (4th) and Quinton de Kock (3rd).

Quinton is having a great run at the World Cup campaign as well. He is currently the leading run scorer in the marquee tournament with 407 runs, having a highest score of 174 runs.

Meanwhile, Harry Tector from Ireland is preceding Rohit at 7th place. Rassie van der Dussen holds the ninth spot, while Imam-ul-Haq completes the top 10 list of ODI batting rankings at tenth place.

In India’s last match against New Zealand, Kohli was almost there to equal Sachin Tendulkar’s record of making most ODI hundreds (49). However, his dream got shattered after being caught out on Matt Henry’s delivery, but still played fantastic innings of 95 runs.

After Quinton, Kohli has scored the most runs in the tournament with 354 runs, followed by Rohit who scored 311 runs.
