On the 76th Independence Day of Pakistan, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) released a heartfelt documentary video on social media. This captivating video showcased some of the sport's legends and their invaluable contributions to the nation's cricketing history and legacy. Spanning two minutes and twenty-one seconds, the clip took viewers on a journey from Pakistan's international cricket debut in 1952 to their historic World Cup victory in 1992, and all the way to the 2022 T20 World Cup, where the present Pakistan side, led by Babar Azam, reached the final in Australia.

However, despite its celebratory intentions, the video faced severe backlash across all social media platforms. The exclusion of Imran Khan, the man who inspired and led the team to their triumphant 1992 World Cup victory, became a point of contention. Fans and critics alike expressed their disappointment and frustration over this omission.

Imran Khan's absence from the video was seen as a glaring oversight, considering his immense impact on Pakistani cricket. As a charismatic leader and exceptional player, Khan played a pivotal role in shaping the team's success. His leadership and determination were instrumental in guiding Pakistan to their first-ever World Cup triumph.

The caption of the video reads, "Making history isn't just about one day; it's about the legends we create and the tales we script. Pakistan Cricket Team – a legacy that echoes through time."

This captivating video showcases the iconic superstars of Pakistan cricket who have played an instrumental role in shaping the nation's sporting history and contributing their unique brilliance to the game. The clip features legendary figures such as Javed Miandad, Wasim Akram, Shoaib Akhtar, Waqar Younis, Shahid Afridi, and Babar, while highlighting some of the most glorious moments in Pakistan's cricketing journey. These include the unforgettable triumph in the 1992 World Cup, the exhilarating victory in the 2009 T20 World Cup, and the historic win against India in the 2017 Champions Trophy final.

However, Pakistan Cricket's Twitter handle faced severe criticism from fans as they failed to spot Imran in the video. Fans urged the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to take down the video and re-post it after editing. Let's take a look at how the passionate fans of Pakistan cricket reacted to this situation.

One of the primary reasons behind Imran being snubbed from the documentary video could be attributed to the fact that the cricketer-turned politician was recently arrested for the second time in four months. This occurred earlier this month, when the former Pakistan Prime Minister was sentenced by an Islamabad court to three years imprisonment and disqualified from politics due to his involvement in "corrupt practices". The 70-year-old was apprehended by the police on August 5 from his residence, following the court's verdict on the Toshakhana case. In this case, he was accused of being involved in the sale of state gifts worth hundreds of millions of rupees.
