What is Draconic shower, which might cause a meteor storm? All you need to know

The Draconid shower is also called the Giacobinids. It is a rare celestial event. The parent body of this meteor shower is the periodic comet 21P/Giacobini-Zinner.  This shower is named after the constellation Draco. This shower is expected to peak after sunset on October 8, as per reports by AccuWeather. 

Draconids Meteor Shower: How and when to watch?

People from the Earth can view the majestic event if the weather cooperates under the dark sky. Between October 8 evening to early morning, a Draconid meteor shower will radiate from the constellation Orion. Although, it can appear anywhere in the sky. 

What causes the Draconids meteor shower?

Meteor shower happens when the Earth moves through a patch of 'cometary debris'. The small meteorites burn up as they enter the Earth's surface creating the illusion of a shooting star.
