The State Bank of India (SBI) has issued an important notice regarding its digital banking services. If you have an account with SBI, then please note that digital banking services are going to remain suspended for about 150 minutes on July 16 and July 17. It is advised to not make any transactions between this time.

The bank informed its customers in a tweet that they will be conducting maintenance work from 10.45 pm to 1.15 am on the night of 16 and 17 July. Internet Banking / YONO / YONO Lite / UPI services will not be available during this period." This is not the first time that SBI has stalled its internet banking services. For the past few months, services are being stalled by SBI for some time in the name of maintenance. A similar thing happened on July 10 and July 11 when the services were stalled in the name of maintenance and on July 3 and July 4 between 3.25 am and 5.50 am.

There are more than twenty-two thousand bank branches across the country. According to the data of 31 December 2020, the number of Internet banking customers is 85 million, while the number of mobile bank customers is 19 million. The number of UPI subscribers is more than 135 million. The closure of these services on the part of the bank will cause inconvenience to so many customers.
