Crime branch busts sex den in Ahmedabad

Police arrest seven agents, including two women.

Crime Branch successfully busted a flesh trade racket thriving in a posh area of the city on Sunday. Police also arrested seven agents including two women involved in the racket and freed three victims.

Getting a tip-off about the existence of the sex racket, crime branch ACP, Usha Rada, along with police personnel raided the residence of one Mintusingh Rai in 23/B, Nirat Park Society near Surdhara Circle in Thaltej. Rai had taken the house on rent from one Suresh Thakkar and paid Rs22,000 per month towards its rent. Rai and Khushi alias Binoli Rai were running the illegal trade from their house by providing girls to customers. The crime branch caught the duo by posing as fake customer who was charged Rs3,000 for a girl.

The crime branch has also arrested five accomplishes of the couple who helped them to run the illegal flesh trade business. The arrested are Jignasha Rajeshkumar Pandya, a resident of Dakshini Society in Maninagar, Mukesh Vinod Mehta, a resident of Shivam Bungalows in Bopal, Suresh Karshan Patel, resident of Chandlodia, Parth Sudhaji Mitra of Navdeep Society in Memnagar and Sujoy alias Deva Satya Adhikari, a resident of Vasantnagar township in Gota.

According to crime branch officials, these agents brought girls from agents in Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai and paid Rs1 lakh per girl for a fortnight. Though in the transaction, the girls were paid only Rs30,000. Out of three victims two belong to Bangladesh and one is from Delhi.
