Doordarshan cameraperson on Wednesday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for saving his life in the nick of time during the inauguration of SAUNI project at Aaji Dam near Jamnagar yesterday. 'I was saved in the nick of time, I want to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this is like a new life for me,' he told ANI here.

'The inauguration of the dam was supposed to take place at around 11 am by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It was raining very heavily that time, so the programme was delayed. There was around 4 cameras. As soon as the gate opened the speed of the water was too speedy that I couldn't understand anything,' he added.
The cameraman had presumably been among the many who had been positioned all around the podium to get the shot of PM Modi and Rupani taking part in the function. The cameraman seems to have realized what the Prime Minister was trying to convey to him and fled, leaving the camera behind.
