Indian Railways never fails to surprise passengers. The railways has installed smart windows in trains. which will ensure the privacy to the passenger during the journey. The smart windows have been installed in the AC coach of the New Delhi-Howrah Rajdhani train.

The newly installed window ensures a high level of convenience, security, and reliability. When a passenger turns on the light, the smart window turns 'opaque' in the color that prevents light from outside. The 'opaque' feature of the window will prevent people from outside to peek inside the coach through the window. This will make the journey secure and private.

Often passengers in the train struggle with unwanted light coming from the window. This technology will prevent unwanted light and protect the passengers from the direct UV rays.
The window will provide a comfortable travelling experience.

The tourism and catering department of the Railways is looking forward to expanding its services. Meanwhile, the upcoming Union Budget 2021 may bring some measures that may revamp IRCTC's revenue manifold.

Indian Railways is likely to introduce a new scheme, where ready-to-eat meals will be provided to the passengers, as IRCTC has joined hands with the big companies like Haldiram, ITC, MTR, Wagh Bakri including several other brands. After the implementation of the scheme, the train comprising pantry service will end the contract and hand over the responsibility to IRCTC to serve ready-to-eat-meals to the passengers.
