Delhi Police's Special Cell has seized Rs. 20 crore worth of party drug Mephedrone, also known as 'meow-meow' and arrested eight people in this regard.
The police first recovered the drug at a location in Greater Kailash, which led them to the arrest of one Surinder Singh from Chitaranjan Park.
The police have also come across a nexus of peddlers operating in Delhi and Mumbai, where they supply drugs to the youth.
Meow-meow or M-Cat has emerged as a popular party drug among revelers in recent times.
Last month, the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) seized a consignment of Mephedrone valued at around Rs 90 lakh from three persons linked to a Mumbai-based Nigerian drug racket.
