Ranbir Singh Hooda, the lone surviving member of the Constitutional Assembly, on Sunday died at his native place in Haryana.
He was 95.
Hooda is survived by his son and Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
Ranbir Singh Hooda was ailing for the past several days and was undergoing treatment at Rohtak where he breathed his last this evening, official sources said.
Hooda, who was imprisoned several times during the freedom struggle and was a minister in Punjab government for a number of years, will be accorded a state funeral at Rohtak on Monday.
