BJP MP Pragya Thakur has filed a complaint with the Bhopal Airport Director after she was allegedly denied her allotted seat in a SpiceJet flight.

The Lok Sabha MP from Bhopal filed the complaint on Saturday saying that the airline crew's behaviour was not right on the Delhi bound flight claiming that she was inconvenienced by their conduct.

According to the sources quoted by Zee News, Pragya created a ruckus over the incident and refused to deboard the aircraft after landing.

"They did not give me the booked seat. I asked them to show the rules. I called the director and lodged a complaint with him,” she told the media.

"I approached the Airport Director and filed a written complaint with him regarding the same. Trains, flights are for the convenience of the public, as public representatives we are responsible for the treatment common people will get. Therefore, it was my responsibility to file a complaint regarding this," she was quoted by news agency ANI as saying.

Airport Director Anil Vikram also confirmed that the BJP leader has filed a complaint against the carrier.

"We received a complaint from the MP about the incident. At present we cannot comment over the issue as it is an internal process. We will seek information from SpiceJet and their crews about the incident with MP in details, because SpiceJet has their own rules and regulation for such kind of incident," Airport director Vikram said in a statement.

Recently, Thakur made headlines when she called Nathuram Godse, the assassin of Mahatma Gandhi, a 'patroit' in Lok Sabha. "You cannot give the example of Godse as he was a nationalist," the BJP MP had said. (The original term used by Pragya Thakur to hail Godse was expunged from records by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla).

The remark was sparked a huge uproar in the House after which she apologised. She was later removed from a parliamentary committee of defence.

Thakur, a Malegaon-blasts accused currently out on bail, had in May caused nationwide outrage when she made similar remarks during his campaign for Bhopal Lol Sabha seat.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in an interview to a TV channel, had asserted that he won't be able to forgive her ever for the controversial statement.

She had also kicked up a storm by saying IPS officer Karkare died during 26/11 attack as she had "cursed" him for torturing her.
