After Uttar Pradesh, Delhi govt seals 20 COVID-19 hotspots

The Delhi Government on Wednesday said that 20 COVID-19 hotspots have been identified in the national capital, and nobody will be allowed to enter or exit from these areas.

"Some positive cases have been reported in Sadar area so the area has been sealed. A total of 20 hot spots have been identified in Delhi, nobody will be allowed to enter or exit from these areas," Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said.

"The government will ensure delivery of essential items in the areas that have been sealed," he added.

 Here is the list of COVID-19 hotspots in the national capital:

 House no. 141-180, Gali No. 14, Kalyan Puri.

 Mansara Apartment, Vasundhra Enclave.

 Galis of Khichripur.

Sisodia also said that people stepping outdoors have to wear face masks compulsorily. "Action will be taken against those not following it," he said.

"Wearing of facial masks can reduce the spread of Coronavirus substantially. Therefore, it has been decided that facial masks will be compulsory for anyone stepping out of their house. Cloth mask shall be eligible," Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said.

In Delhi, there are 576 coronavirus cases with 9 deaths. 51 fresh cases were reported in the capital on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh administration on Wednesday announced that coronavirus hotspots in 15 districts of the states, including Lucknow and Noida, will be sealed off to stop the spread of novel coronavirus as people residing in certain areas are not following the lockdown.

The 15 districts are Agra, Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar (GB Nagar), Kanpur, Varanasi, Shamli, Meerut, Bareilly, Bulandshahr, Basti, Firozabad, Saharanpur, Maharajganj and Sitapur.
