A 30-year-old Uttar Pradesh woman shot dead over old enmity

A 30-year-old woman was allegedly shot dead by unidentified persons on March 28 over an old dispute at Kachnar village in Ramkot area Sitapur town of Uttar Pradesh, police said.

Saira Bano was killed outside her house this morning over a personal enmity, they said.

However, the victim's husband has complained to the police that one Iliyas with whom he had enmity, could be behind the killing, they added.

An FIR has been registered against the alleged accused, police said, adding, the probe is on in this matter.
