The film reportedly worked better than any other Nolan film in nine countries, including Ukraine and Netherlands. While it became the largest opening yet in Saudi Arabia, 'Tenet' also accounted for 74 percent of ticket sales in UK (where Tom Cruise also saw the film).

The cinema halls are currently operating at 50 percent capacity tio maintain social distancing. They are also following other safety protocols like mandating mask wearing, and sanitizing cinemas before and after the movie.

The film which was supposed to release in US first, released all across before hitting the screens in 'Big Apple'. The producers had applied the strategy to see the response all across. 'Tenet' will release in US, China and Russian theatres this week.

It is also going to release in India, but the makers are yet to confirm any release dates. Theatres continue to remain shut in India till August 31, 2020, till a new announcement related to lockdown is made.
