Chris Evans, who famously portrayed Captain America in multiple Marvel Cinematic Universe films, has married his girlfriend Alba Baptista in their secret, intimate wedding at their home in the Boston area of Massachusetts on Saturday, September 9, as reported by the Page Six magazine.
A source was quoted telling the portal that the guests, including their family members and friends, were made to sign non-disclosure agreements and their phones were not allowed inside the venue. Neither Chris nor Alba have made any official confirmation about their reported marriage yet.
The 26-year-old Portuguese actress Alba began dating the 42-year-old American actor since November 22. She starred in a few Portuguese series and films such as A Impostora and Jogo Duplo before gaining recognition for leading the Netflix fantasy drama series Warrior Nun, which ran for two seasons from 2020 to 2022.
Chris' Avengers co-stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, and Jeremy Renner, who played Iron Man, Thor, and Hawkeye in the MCU, also attended the ceremony, as per reports. A couple of photos of these three stars from a Boston restaurant have gone viral on the internet, which has seemingly confirmed that Chris and Evans have tied the knot this weekend.
Sharing the photos on their X (previously known as Twitter) account, one netizen wrote, "Chris Evans fans: Jeremy Renner, Robert Downy Jr and Chris Hemsworth along with spouses spotted in Boston restaurant. They are probably in town for Chris Evans nuptials to Alba Baptista.Chris has been tight lipped but this is a good sign it’s happening this weekend."
Evans' friend and actor John Krasinki and Emily Blunt, with whom he will be seen sharing screen space in the upcoming Netflix crime drama Pain Hustlers. The film is scheduled to have its world premiere at the TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) 2023 on September 11 and will release in selected theatres on October 20, before it begins streaming on Netflix from October 27.
