What Akshay Kumar did for farmers will make you salute him!

While some stars talk, Akshay Kumar believes in action doing the talking. He just raised funds for 100 farmer families within 15 minutes at an event in Delhi! A few days ago he had announced a donation of Rs 90 lakh (Akshay's team donated Rs 15 lakh to 30 widows on his behalf and plans to donate the same amount every month, for the next five months) which would help 180 families of farmers who committed suicide in drought-hit Marathwada. 

Says a source, “Akshay is in Delhi to promote his upcoming film Singh Is Bliing. There was a fashion show which was held around the theme of SIB and the who's who of Delhi socialite s were present for this mega event. Akshay who has always been supporting families of farmers since many years decided to raise funds for grieve stricken farmer families and requested other people present there to donate funds. Within 15 minutes a huge sum was collected for the 100 farmer families. The Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal came to know about this and his office sent a request to  Akshay's team to meet the actor. Akshay Kumar met the honourable Chief Minister this morning. He appreciated Akshay Kumar's efforts and gesture for the farmers and congratulated him for this and wished him all the best.”

Action surely speaks louder than words and Akshay is surely going to get many blessings from the farmers for his good deed!
