Shama Sikander, the girl-next-door from TV who made her way into the Indian household, thanks to her sweet demeanour and her super successful show Yeh Meri Life Hai. Years after battling depression, the pretty actress is back in news. This time, for a short film which she's acted in. 

What's the short film about? Titled Sexaholic, the short film is about a sex addict (played by Shama). On being asked if she apprehensive of the role, in an interview to Bollywoodlife.com, Shama clearly retorted in the positive. "I am an actor and I love to experiment. The character is Sexaholic is one that any actor would crave to do. For me, it was a role of a lifetime. When Shailendra (Singh) told me about the subject, I immediately refused it due to the bold content. Then, I read the script and said yes, and then again, it was a No," she told. 

But it was then her director cajoled her to give her nod. "Shailendra sat me down and explained how he had complete faith in me as an actor to pull off the character. His confidence overwhelmed me and I gave my nod. Of course, I read and re-read the script," she added. 

Talk about preparations and she reveals that she did watch a lot of porn films to better her sex-addict act. "Yes, I did watch porn. In fact, I did a lot of research on nymphomania and its miseries. What I realized is that they go through a lot of pain – that was something I could identify with as I have been through painful situations in my life. My character suffers from sex addiction. In real life, I have a desperate craving for desserts, which I suppress daily. There is not much of difference in the condition. It’s about excessive desire at the end of it. a lot of women have complimented me about the film and that feels great."
