I had recently gone to New Zealand for a show and I was very excited because I was there for the first time. I was visiting the place for the first time and hence I stayed back at New Zealand after the show to see the place and have some fun. I was accompanied by my mom because she or my sister always accompanies me on trips outside Mumbai. But the fact that my mom was there with me did not stop me from having fun even though my mom went along with me everywhere.

Stay and sightseeing:
I visited a lot of pubs there as the night life in Wellington is pretty happening and undoubtedly I did not want to miss them. I also visited Queenstown which is a must see and regarded as NZ’s adventure capital. Then visited I went to Rotorua known for its volcanic activities and from there I took off to Bay Island, which is a must-see as it is made up of 144 islands and well-known for its lovely beaches. I must add there that any trip to the New Zealand capital is incomplete without a visit to Mount Cook — the highest mountain range in NZ and is a beautiful tourist destination.

Food and shopping:
The meat in NZ is supposed to be the best in the world and is a must try when you are there. It can be had in any form and I tried the various forms of meat there they were cooked in myriad different ways. I enjoyed it all the more because I am strictly non-vegetarian and hence this explains why I liked the food even more. I must also say that the New Zealand capital not only a place only for non vegetarian people but a lot of nice vegetarian food can be also found there. Wine there is also of very good quality.

Fish and chips may not be high on the healthy eating scale, but your New Zealand cuisine experience is incomplete without enjoying this traditional New Zealand takeaway meal, served wrapped in paper.

Shopping:
I am not that brand conscious but I did shop for a lot of brands because I realised it was a lot cheaper than buying in India. I did street shopping too, for shoes and bags etc. I am a bag freak and I bought nothing less than a dozen bags.
