Hayden Panettiere and boxer beau Wladmir Klitschko call it quits

It's official. Actress Hayden Panettiere has spilt with her boxer boyfriend of 18-month Wladimir Klitschko.

The Scream 4 actress, 21, has been dating the Russian star since 2009, but now the pair has reportedly ended their romance.

In a statement obtained by German magazine Bunte, Klitschko said they decided to part ways because it was difficult coping with having a long-distance relationship.
 
"While we decided to split, we feel great sympathy and respect for each other and will surely stay close friends," the Daily Mail quoted Panettiere as saying in a statement.

Klitschko, 35, added: "We have had a great time together. But more and more we realised how difficult it is to maintain a relationship when living on two continents.

"I cherish Hayden as a person and woman and I'm sure we will stay friends," he added.
