Veteran actor Kamal Haasan turned 66-year-old today. He is termed as one of the greatest actors that India has. Haasan has numerous movies to his credit, which have been the most awaited and worthwhile.

However, there are a few movies of the actor which have been the most awaited but never saw the light of the day. These movies did not find a release, and it is a mystery if they would ever even release.

Here are some of the films:

- KG

Kamal Haasan had shown his excitement for the Tamil-Kannada cop thriller titled KG twice. He started working on the movie with director Singeetham Srinivasa Rao but got busy with another project. The second time that he thought about taking up the project, actor Ramesh Aravind, who was going to make his directorial debut, was roped in. However, both the timings did not work out and the film, without a leading lady, did not take off.

- Marmayogi

Kamal Haasan announced Marmayogi right after the release of his film 'Dashavtaaram'. The Hindi-Tamil film bilingual set in the 7th century was going to take off in 2008 after a year was spent on pre-production. Actors Venkatesh, Trisha, Hema Malini and Mohanlal were roped in too. However, the production house for the film backed out of the project.

- 19 Steps

Everything was going great with '19 Steps', a movie that Kamal Haasan was adapting from the Indo-Japanese film. Walt Disney was also on-board for the project which was originally going to star Asin and Tadanobu. Kamal Haasan was going to play the role of an Indian martial arts guru in the movie. However, 20 days before the shoot would go on floors, it was shelved indefinitely.

- The Tooth Of Buddha

After two failed films on martial arts, Kamal Haasan wanted to work on 'The Tooth Of Buddha'. He even joined hands with filmmaker Mysskin for the same. However, they never found any producers and the film did not take off. Even today, Mysskin is hopeful that some day the movie would be made.

- Sabash Naidu

Kamal Haasan’s trilingual comedy Sabash Naidu, a spin-off from his popular character in 'Dashavtaaram', has seen more downs than ups. The movie's casting changed thrice. Director TK Rajeev Kumar walked out of the film, forcing Haasan to take over the project. However, after Kamal Haasan himself fractured himself on the sets, he did not go back on the sets and complete the film.

- Kamal Haasan's Hollywood venture

Hollywood producer Barrie Osborne expressed his interest in working with Kamal Haasan back in 2012. Haasan announced the project, 'Moo', in 2013, but the film was eventually shelved indefinitely even before it went on floors.
