However, the Royal Challengers Bangalore star player took to his social media and addressed some of the rumours about his Alibaug plot. Virat Kohli posted a story to alert his 257 million followers on Instagram about the fake reports about his new investment.

Reports in the leading national daily had said that Virat Kohli made the purchase of the Alibaug farmhouse for a whopping Rs 19.54 crore, and is minutely involved in all of the construction and renovation details of the plot.

Earlier this month, the former Team India captain had taken to social media to dismiss another piece of fake news about him – that he earns Rs 11.45 crore per post on Instagram. However, Kohli rubbished these claims and termed them fake news.

Taking to Twitter, the star cricketer said, “While I am grateful and indebted to all that I’ve received in life, the news that has been making rounds about my social media earnings is not true.”
