Rohit Sharma will lead India in the 2nd T20I of the 3-match series against New Zealand on Friday. The Indian captain, who was out for just 1 run in the first match, will look lead by example as the Men in Blue look to bounce back after a big loss.

However, it could also be a day of huge personal milestone for India's stand-in skipper. Rohit Sharma is just 35 runs away from another historic feat. If he manages to reach 35 on Friday, he will overtake New Zealand's Martin Guptill to become the all-time highest-run getter in T20Is. Guptill is not part of the series due to an injury.

Rohit has scored 2238 runs from 91 T20I matches for India so far at an average of 32.43 with four centuries and 15 half-centuries. He is currently third on the list of highest run-getters in the format with Guptill (2272 runs) and Pakistan's Shoaib Malik (2263 runs) ahead of him. He will need 26 runs to surpass Malik.
