Did skipper Virat Kohli mistakenly say India are 2-1 up in the T20I series?

Indian skipper Virat Kohli had a slip of tongue at the toss of the third T20I against England as the series is levelled at 1-1. India, came back after the loss in the first game to win the second match. Kohli, however, mistakenly forgot the scoreline as he said India were 2-1 up in the series.

England skipper Eoin Morgan won the toss and put India into bat. After Morgan's bytes, Kohli was asked if the absence of the crowds will make a difference. Kohli said, "It's good that the series is poised in a way where we are 2-1 up and England's gonna come out hard. So, we know that we have to be at the top of our game.

"Obviously, crowds are an added advantage and a boost playing at this level, because it adds so much more to the game and the environment and the emotion and passion of the game. But having said that you have to be professional and to come up against the top team in the world in this format, you have to be at the top of your game," he added.

Kohli accidentally said that India are leading in the series, despite having played just two games. India made one change to their line-up as opening batsman Rohit Sharma came back into the side in place of his Mumbai Indians teammate Suryakumar Yadav.
