Directors of Vadodara-based Diamond Power Infrastructure Ltd (DPIL) — Amit Bhatnagar and Sumit Bhatnagar — have moved an interim bail plea before the special CBI court on Wednesday. The two have sought bail on medical grounds.
The hearing on the bail plea got over on Wednesday and the court is expected to give its verdict soon.
Earlier, a special CBI court had rejected the anticipatory bail plea of the two brothers and their father Suresh Bhatnagar who was the promoter of the company.
Their regular bail plea was also rejected.
DPIL is accused of cheating banks to the tune of Rs 2,654 crore.
